Eye of Iris

 Design & Manufacturing (Apparel)

We are a fashion start-up looking to work within a circular economy, focusing on re-working unwanted denim to provide fashion forward garments that are in line with customer demands.

We work on the basis of buying less but buying better, aiming to work with local communities, people and business. The interest of the business is to focus on finding solutions to waste within the fashion industry.

  • What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: We aim to bring a made-to-measure service, deconstructing to reconstruct denim jeans. We aim to develop this with the assistance of 3D scanning and computer animation rendering to provide visual representations of how the personalised garment will look and sit on the customers body – a way of also diminishing current size guides. This will be a tailored service that is also fashion focused, staying in line with consumer trend and forecasting.
  • What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: Developing a QR system for the customer and our manufacturing process, to be able to account for tracability. We are also looking for projects around garment waste, specifically denim or cotton, including finishings such as zips or studs. As well as this we are looking to find research around 3D scanning and avatar development for our customer journey.
