 Fashion & Textile Professionals

I have 10 years of experience in fashion design, bespoke tailoring, garment manufacturing technology, and pattern cutting, including experience working with commercial brands and mass production factories as well as individual designers. Currently, I am in the last year of the MSc in Design and Technology Futures at Tallinn University of Technology.

My interest lies in future fashion garment production. How, why, and what garments are produced, concentrating on:

  • Sustainable garment manufacturing, which supports on-demand production methods to create accessible and quality garments.
  • Extending garment use times through garment construction and manufacturing methods to be suitable for reuse systems.
  • Reshaping the role of the factories in the future of garment manufacturing.

  • What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: I aim to find diverse ways to apply the discoveries of the research, including: work towards a system and processes for garment development and manufacturing which would support sustainable garment production from both the fashion company and the factory side; advising factories on-site on how to improve their processes; working hand in hand with fashion companies develop technologies to improve sustainability.
  • What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: The projects that I am interested in are the sustainability and circular economies: production of garments, product development, clothing use and re-use cycles: future of garment manufacturing; on-demand manufacturing; product development for re-use cycles; garment construction and fit; slow fashion; holistic view on fashion circularity.
