THREEDEME Studios

 Digital Fashion

THREEDEEMEE is more than an animation studio. Our main business is the development of our core technology TDM Avatars which is a virtual try-on app. We are developing an app that will use a selfie-video to take body measurements, and, using AI/ML, to create an avatar as a digital twin for virtual try-on (VTO) within seconds. TDM Avatars Can be plugged into retailers web2 and web3 platforms. Our TDM Avatars will provide 1-2% accuracy in line with bespoke tailoring-ready to wear garments. With full 3D movement, giving customers a true picture of what the garment will look like on them. Bridging the current gap in the market with virtual try-on and size recommendation apps. Our solution aims to resolve the fashion industry’s size/suitability issues and reduce the 23 million returned garments sent to landfills and incinerators in the UK alone.

Our main interest lies within how technology can help solve pressing sustainability issues within fashion. THREEDEEMEE aims to solve fashion fit and returns problems caused by unsuitable style/colour and incorrect size allocation. More than 40% of shoppers expect to return at least one item when online shopping (The Guardian, 2022). The main challenge for fashion retailers is addressing incorrect sizing in online shopping, the biggest cause of returns. Customers currently rely

on standard dimensions and self-measuring, which are unreliable (Statista, 2021). E-commerce’s limitation with 2D visualisation/fit is inaccurate/poor.

THREEDEEMEE aims to address this limitation through enhancing customers’ 3D virtual try-on experience. Unsolved, the problem will affect retailers’ EBIT margins by at least 3% and returns will cause more GHG than the original purchase (WEAREFITS,2023). Returns create a reverse transportation chain, doubling emissions. Optoro estimates returns generate 15 million metric tons of CO2 emission, with 50% of returned garments not being restocked (Palatinate, 2022). Returns require fault checks, cleaning, restocking in the warehouse space and associated employees time. Items returned are thus frequently sent to landfills or are incinerated. 25% of incinerators in the UK are on track to be disproportionately built in deprived neighbourhoods (BFC, 2023) with people of colour being overrepresented in areas where existing incinerators are sited (Unearthed, 2020).

As we have been in the animation industry for 7+ years, our strengths lie within 3D technology and animation, as well as digital fashion industry knowledge and running a startup. We have a team of skilled engineers and animators as well as marketing professionals that can bring their expertise to a Future Fashion Factory project.
