This marriage of art and fashion is at the heart of BASMA and captures the current mood for artisan craftsmanship, individuality and easy to wear in luxury fashion.
All our scarves are proudly made in the UK supporting local economy and advocating the superior quality of British made fashion.
In addition I have a background in Art & Design and also worked in product development and management. I have experience in bringing products to market and beyond as a product manager in consumer goods industries.

- What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: My aspiration is to build a successful business in luxury / premium accessory fashion market manufactured in the UK. As a business slow fashion is our motto The aim is to produce exclusive timeless collections of scarves using ethical methods’ of production.
- What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: For the next product development project I am interested in working with UK suppliers from fibre to manufacturing. The supply chain is very long and so far from my experience it seems it is difficult to track every process. I am interested in sustainability which is a big and overused word. At the moment the fibres we use are traceable such as wool from New Zealand but I don’t have much more information. Therefore, I would like to collaborate closely with the suppliers understanding and overseeing each process. I am interested in using natural fibres such as wool in particular.
