• What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: Since setting up our fulfilment warehouse, we have seen enormous amounts of waste at the end of each season or a collection. Material, garments and fabrics are left without any real home and without purpose, meanwhile brands move quickly to working on the production of their next season. We want to change this by allowing brands, suppliers and the wider community to purchase, reuse and donate ‘deadstock’. The fashion industry has ground to a halt since the start of the pandemic – it’s forced us to really assess our global impact and slow things down. This means less production, fewer seasons, less waste, more recycling. We want to contribute to this by creating a fabric ‘deadstock’ marketplace. We want to change the way designers purchase fabrics and the way that suppliers discard of their excess stock.
