We are a social enterprise supporting adults with learning disabilities to run AND clothes (#AbilitiesNotDisabilities), a clothing business with a social purpose to change public perception of learning-disabled adults, focusing on what they can do, not what they can’t.
Through AND, the participants will learn how to run all aspects of a clothing business. From doing the designs, modelling, marketing and selling the clothes from beginning to end product.

- What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: Our aspiration is to have a world where accessibility is not an issue, that learning-disabled people are accepted in society and they feel they have a place and a voice. We would love to see our social enterprise a success within 5 years and selling a variety of designs but also look more to ethical clothing which will make an even bigger impact. Would like to see more learning-disabled entrepreneurs being given the chance of success as these people inspire me each and every day and deserve the same chance as everyone.
- What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: Ethical brands but also businesses with more of a social purpose instead of throw-away fashion. We are also looking to develop an app to make the online shopping experience easier and more accessible for the learning-disabled community and would want to link in with any businesses that would look at having a kite mark on their website linked to an app we are producing. Enabling learning disabled adults to be able to shop online safely and have an accessible experience. Digital inclusion has had a huge impact on adults with learning disabilities and the digital divide is even greater during the pandemic. So many businesses are missing out on having the inspiration and skills of learning-disabled talent within their teams. We would also be happy to support any businesses that wanted to make that transition into being a more diverse and inclusive employer.
