Karishma Kusurkar

 Fashion & Textile Professionals

I’m a multidisciplinary designer, Co-Director of Belfast Design Week – Belfast’s annual design festival and VentureFolk – a venture-making co-operative adhering to the UN’S sustainable development goals.

My educational background is in BA (Hons) Textile Design at Chelsea College of Art & Design, MFA Multidsciplinary Design at Ulster University and I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).

From late 2020, I have been working alongside Belfast Met on innovation projects with a focus on fashion and textile businesses.

My expertise is in multidisciplinary design and in particular digital print, design thinking and events design which I have a lot of experience in. Through my work, I’ve also had the privilege of getting to know those studying and working in fashion and textiles locally
