  • What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: Our aspirations are to set up a micro-factory for customisation on the high street, using digitally enables design & manufacture and partner with other designers, suppliers and manufacturers who share our sustainability and collaborative ethos.
  • What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: We are interested in R&D to create choice in the market for more sustainable fabric and stuffing alternatives. There is a need for a collection of quality soft comfort fabrics that are robust, with non- directional pile, both washable and recyclable as an alternative to the current plush fabrics used in toys and furnishings. Also there is a need to improve the quality of the alternative stuffing options for cushions. We need a more sustainable plant or wool based option that can be recycled without losing functional bounce back performance. We are interested in building and sharing our expertise in eTextiles manufacture. We think there is a need for a centre of expertise that can be shared across the UK Fashion and textile Industry. This is an exciting emerging market offering great opportunity for UK manufacturers and designers and we are interested in setting up a micro-factory.
