Pinning Hopes
Pinning Hopes is a small start-up specialising in bespoke, handmade tweed products. From ladies capes and, (sometimes matching), dog coats, to upholstery refurbishment and an ever evolving equestrian collection. Currently based at home, I have a range of industrial machines capable of covering most requirements, large or small. They allow me to produce quality garments and results, with a home-made provenance. I am also able to pattern draft, making my ideas come to life.

- What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: Develop my tweed range to incorporate some new applications and ideas, it is a very hard wearing, high quality and flexible fabric. I’d like to pair with like-minded makers, to promote these high quality textiles, from Mills within the UK, designing and manufacturing sustainable products, with individual feel and flair. A particular love is for the equestrian market, where I think we could manufacture some beautiful garments.
- What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: From “safety conscious” equestrian wear, with more fashionable appeal, to warm hard wearing tweeds for the everyday use. Continue to learn the art of upholstery, promoting the use of UK fabrics and tailoring furniture to customers exacting tastes.
