Camira manufactures fabrics at scale to meet large orders of interior fabrics on everything from hotels and offices to public transport. Higher level flame retardancy for public areas is a top priority for these materials and is achieved through an additional treatment process after they have been woven and dyed.
This project is developing a new process which achieves the required performance standards with a lighter environmental impact, reducing water, energy and chemical usage for more efficient and sustainable manufacturing.
