WOVEN: A Celebration of Textiles

Bringing together the local community across Kirklees, WOVEN will celebrate the past, present and future of the district’s globally recognised fashion and textile industry.
A series of events will take place throughout the week from Batley to Slaithwaite to celebrate the industry’s heritage, innovations, as well as future opportunities for careers and creativity.
Events will include a Careers Fair hosted by core Future Fashion Factory partner the Textile Centre of Excellence, as well as a variety of makers’ markets, family and craft events, and the Spectacular Showcase of Textile Innovation.
Future Fashion Factory researchers will demonstrate work relating to our core research themes at the Spectacular Showcase on Friday 14 June.
